Maryland Archery Season 2018-2019

Maryland's archery season is just one month away as we sit here in the first week of August 2018..  We have had very odd weather this year with more rain than I can ever remember. I am behind on my fall food plot as it sits as mud right now rather than planting and have my seed wash away or drown.  I just got my feeder up and functioning for the year and haven't had a chance to put cameras out with all the rain and flooding..

That being said... Hunting season is quickly approaching this year and it's time to get ready.  I still have stands to hang, plant the food plot, and get to shooting my bow more often than I have been. I am excited for this hunting season as life has started to slow down and I might actually be able to get out hunting more this season if work allows.

As hunting season quickly approaches we will all be out hanging stands, checking trial cams, shooting our bows and doing whatever scouting we can to give us the best chance at harvesting a trophy this upcoming season.  Every hour spent now preparing for the season will give you that much better odds of harvesting your trophy when that opportunity presents itself.

Another thing we always like to remind people is check for gear, certain items have expiration dates on them, others need maintenance, and the rest may either go bad or not fit anymore.  This time of year is a great time to get new gear before the rush and you cannot find the things you need or want.

How are you getting prepared this last month for the season? Any helpful suggestions or ideas?
