Odd 5 Point Buck

I harvested this very odd 5 point buck on 11/11/2010.  I would normally let a deer like this grow to an older age. However, I felt that with his odd antlers that he should be taken out of the gene pool.  It was clear to me that his antlers were a genetic abnormality and not an injury to the antler early in the year. Regardless of his size or shape, he was a very nice trophy to take and he allowed me to put meat in the freezer for another year.

Castrated bucks will have unusual antlers. Maybe your unusual buck got hit in his manhood and the hormones aren't working right anymore.
