Trail Cam Update 9/28/2014

Here is our next trail camera update, we have had some issues with batteries dying and we also have been to busy to put cameras in  many locations so right now we just have  pictures from the couple of cameras we keep on our private land.

How has everyone else been doing?  Starting to see any deer sign or harvested a deer this week?  We were not able to get out hunting this week, but that should change this week! 🙂  Good luck everyone and enjoy the pictures!

Are you starting to see rubs? I started to see a few last weekend. Today I went in the woods and almost every tree I look at has a rub. They popped up this week.

Jim, Sadly, I have not been in the woods much this week. I plan to hunt tomorrow and hopefully I'll see more of that. But I was able to take a short walk mid week and yes, I saw a rub and scrape. I have also heard from others rubs are showing up, and a friend of mine found a good one last weekend. Them popping up this week is no shock at at all, the full moon is the 8th. That means they are starting to get the urge, even know it's not "rut" it's still a full moon after they lost their velvet and it gets them going so to speak. I would say you will likely see a lot more rubs and scrapes over the next week and then it will fall off again until late October. Now is a great time to try to catch one of those bucks before they go nocturnal again. Good Luck!
