Under Armour Camo

Under Armour is probably one of the fastest growing apparel companies in the U.S. and continue to roll out new products each year.  The big release in the hunting sector is their new line of boots which is being released on 8/1/2011.  I own several of Under Armours products and I have to say overall I am pretty happy with most of them.  So perhaps the new

will be on my Christmas list this year.

But let’s look at the products that are already out.  I currently own a decent amount of Under Armour, but I only own a small amount of camo clothing.  I own 2 shirts, 2 pairs of gloves, the pullover face mask, hunting socks, and the shirt and pants compression ColdGear.  It seems like a lot more in text than in my hunting clothing bin.  All Under Armour products are on the slightly higher price range and the camo items are no different.

I will admit my favorite products out of those things that I own are the face mask and the compression ColdGear, and the hunting socks.  The liner camo gloves came in close behind as they are great for early season.  The rest is nice, and does what it says, but for me seems pricey for camo clothing which we all know takes a lot of abuse while afield.

So the real question is, which of the Under Armour camo products are worth the money?

In my opinion, the best product that I own is the
Under Armour Dead Calm Balaclavas
, I would never leave for a hunting trip without it.  In fact I lost mine last fall while walking out of the woods. I decided to try buying a cheaper version and see how I liked it.  Well, after a few weeks I could not stand it, I ended up replacing it very quickly.  This face mask is worth every dime and I highly recommend you try one.

The next product that I own and think is well worth the money is the ColdGear base layers.  They are extremely useful when you spend a lot of time out in the cold. I wear them for not only hunting, but I also do snow removal during the winter and I do not know what I did before I had them.  They keep you very warm, wick moisture away and do not weigh you down.  They have also started making them in fitted which is not as tight as the original compression version for those who did not care for the tight compression feel.

Then you have the hunting socks, which they make these for just about every outdoor sport, such as hiking, skiing, snowboarding, etc.

are made very well; they keep your feet warm and dry as they advertise.  I have used a verity of different socks over the years and so far they are my favorite and I only used them the last month of the season last year.

The final product that I own and think is worth the money is the
Under Armour ColdGear Camo Liner Gloves for Men
.  These are great early to mid season gloves, I have has mine since they came out.  That makes my gloves going into their 6 hunting season and I still love them even know they are starting to show their age.

The other products I own are good, do not get me wrong, but are they worth the money is what I am not sure about.  I own two All Season camo pullovers as well as the Ridge Reaper Gloves.  These are the products I am not totally certain that they are worth money that normally cost.  I will admit that I only paid full price for the gloves, the two shirts I found on clearance at a local retailer and paid a fraction of the MSRP.  I will be writing a review of the Ridge Reaper gloves soon, so check back for that.

Now that you have my opinion about Under Armour Camo Clothing, what is your opinion?  What do you own and do you feel it was worth the money, or just more average camo clothing?
