Amber and I love Under Armour in the gym, so we thought we would do some good old fashion research into the camo line that they offer. While both of us own some UA camo pieces and accessories, we wanted to see their whole line in a glimpse!!
Under Armour offers their Ridge Reaper line of camo clothing. This line includes a multitude of different items such as: gloves, boots, pants, coat, shell coat, and shell bibs. I recently had the opportunity to look over the whole line and I must say that I am pretty impressed with the entire line. I tried on some of the Ridge Reaper line and saw how they fit and what I did and did not like about them. I will give you an overview of the entire Ridge Reaper line below.
Under Armour Ridge Reaper 8 Non-Insulated GORE-TEX Waterproof Boots for Men
We will start with the newest addition to the Ridge Reaper line… the Ridge Reaper Hunting Boots. The Ridge Reaper Hunting Boots are lined with 100% waterproof GORE-TEX®. They have a lightweight, aggressive full rubber sole to help you get through the mud and snow without slipping. They are lightweight at just 3.2 pounds for both boots. After trying a pair on, I must say they are comfortable, and they are built to last. They have a very sturdy leather design that I really felt would stand up against those of us that hunt day in and day out. They are a great early season right up through the beginning of the really cold weather. The Ridge Reaper boots are offered in Slate and Olive. These boots are on my wish list, I think they will be a great item to add to my hunting boot arsenal.
These gloves are great early to mid season gloves. They offer great warmth to weight ratio and they have tacky ultragrip palms so you never have to worry about losing your grip of bow or gun. They fit great and are made of weather resistant fabric to keep your hands warm and dry. The Ridge Reaper Camo Gloves is an accessory that I have added to my collection last season. Under Armour® ColdGear® Ridge Reaper Pants would be a great addition to anyone’s hunting wardrobe. One of the great things about these pants is that they offer Under Armour’s Capture technology which absorbs human odor into a polymer shield that is bound onto the inner surface of the garment's fabric. They are waterproof and super quite which is two of the most sought after things when it comes to camo clothing. They have Under Armour’s patented ColdGear fabric which wicks moisture away from the skin while still allowing body warmth to circulate. I think these pants are a great offering from Under Armour and will keep up with some of the best camo on the market. The only note I will say is, if you are planning to buy them, they are cut slightly small so order a size larger than you normally would wear.
The Under Armour® ColdGear® Ridge Reaper Shell Bib is the next offering that I checked out. I found these shell bibs to be a lightweight, warm and would keep you dry in any conditions. The Ridge Reaper Shell Bibs are very similar to the pants, they offer scent control with Under Armour’s Capture technology. They are waterproof, durable and offer water repellant fabric on the exterior to protect from saturation and it lasts the lifetime of the garment. It also offers Under Armour’s ColdGear which allows moisture to be wicked away from your skin while still allowing body warmth to circulate keeping you warm longer. They have reinforced knees and large cargo pockets. All around, they are another great offering from Under Armour and you should check them out if you are looking for a pair of Shell Bibs.
The Under Armour® ColdGear® Ridge Reaper Shell Jacket is meant to be paired up with the Ridge Reaper Shell Bibs. This Jacket offers all the same features, including Capture technology, ColdGear lining, waterproof and a water repellant coating to keep water from saturating. The jacket is lightweight and super quite so will keep you from getting weighted down or being heard. It also offers large pockets for all your storage needs, allowing you to keep more gear with you rather than having to store it away in a bag. Overall, it’s a great jacket and would protect you from any elements and make your hunt more comfortable.
